Now you can embroider or quilt with your home sewing machine by using DMC Cotton machine Embroidery Thread on machine spools! It's just like DMC hand embroidery floss (same color and sheen) only it's on a spool for easy use on your machine. Why use this instead of regular sewing thread? Because of the finer 50wt. and of course, the sheen of the thread. You use less yardage per design with DMC than you will using regular sewing thread. However, for Thread painting, if you have allergies, you may wish to only use the Sulky Rayon that does not produce lint like cotton thread will at high speeds.
